realistic pro 2020 problems

i just found my grandfathers realistic pro 2020 after i had to wire in a new speaker and build a antenna i have came across a problem i cant fix with the parts i have lieing around the house. the volume control seems like that it is dirty or has gone bad i have found a web site that RS lists parts for it but i have no idea what i am looking for any help would be great

Deoxit

This is a few years late but it might help someone else with a similar problem. I have an Onkyo integrated amp that the volume potentiometer was dirty so the sound output was VERY scratchy. I purchased a can of Hosa Cable D5S6 Deoxit Contact Cleaner Spray from Amazon. Sprayed a small amount into the pot and it fixed the problem. It works fantastic. Well worth the investment
