First, my appologies since I'm sure these questions have been asked before.

1) Does rebanding only affect the trunked 800MHz frequencies?
2) Does the rebanding only affect Motorola Trunked Systems (and not EDACS or LTR)
3) Do I need to make the band plan changes in the Uniden 386XT or 996XT?
4) Do I need to make the band plan changes in the Radio Shack Pro-160?

Thank you

rending affects 800 mhz frequencies regardles if trunked or conventional or trunk format. i have had some of my LTR systems rebanded, some conventional 800 customers rebanded, and moto trunked public safety customers rebanded.

If I use the frequencies posted here in RR, do I still need to make the band plan changes to the scanner? The instructions in the Yahoo Group for the Pro-160 only sites the Motorola Trunked systems for its examples. I would think that the Uniden 396XT and 996XT with the latest firmware would have the rebanding already in its system.

Your master site
1) Does rebanding only affect the trunked 800MHz frequencies?
Rebanding affects businesses operating between 851-854 and 862-866MHz. It affects Public Safety if they're operating between 862-869MHz. Organizations on the affected freq ranges will have to move (i.e., 866-869 moves to 851-854). Trunked or conventional it does not matter

2) Does the rebanding only affect Motorola Trunked Systems (and not EDACS or LTR)
No, since conventional users will have to be moved also (see above). Motorola 3600 trunked are impacted the most because in some cases the radio may not support flashing to support the new trunked channel assignments.

3) Do I need to make the band plan changes in the Uniden 386XT or 996XT?
It depends. If the system rebands and uses frequencies that end in zero (e.g., 852.3500, 851.8750, etc) then you'll need to make changes.

4) Do I need to make the band plan changes in the Radio Shack Pro-160?
Regardless of the model as long as it supports rebanding, it's a Motorola 3600 trunked system and the system is using new 850 assignments then it will need band plan changes.

I would recommend searching for more information as this topic has been discussed ad nauseum.
