Receiving Dallas?

Hi all you Texans.

Just got back into scanning and am sure wowed by the new software to program scanners.

I have a Pro-164 and am using Win97 to program it.

I can hear a ton in my area (Bedford TX) but can hardly pick up Dallas at all.

I put in the trunked freqs and also the talk groups but never get a hit.

I purchased the RS 800 mhx antenna but that didn't seem to help.

Could somone look at the attached p97 file and tell me if I don't have something set right?

Dallas FD and PD are not trunked. They are still on the 460 frequencies.

In Bank 4, un check the "Atten" box for the Dallas Frequencies

For ease of management of the frequencies, you can also move all of the frequencies to the top of each bank.

In Channel 999, put 146.9400 for the Skywarn frequency.

If All else fails, Call the Radio Shack in Flower Mound and ask for the scanner guy.

Unfortunately, no where in your original post do you mention what it is you are trying to listed to in the Dallas area?

DPD, DFR, DPD Deployment?

Thanks Doug that fixed it up and I am now getting Dallas to come in.

Looks like I didn't need the antenna after all.
