K2 is the band split it should be 400-470
The 578 is Compliant to use on Gmrs, so No problem.
There is an FCC part 90 approved version of the Anytone 578. Legal use on GMRS is up to your interpretation of part 95 rules.Says who? Source?
You're right, I remember now. It's the firmware version that restricts Wide/Narrow choice. But that can be worked around. Mine were already OK.The K2 designation may be referring to the range or "band split" of the radio. The TK-8180 is available in either 450-520 MHz or 400-470 MHz ranges. The TK-8180H is available in either 450-512 MHz or 400-470 MHz.
