Yes, but I was thinking that you perhaps didn't need a stereotrack to be recorded with the video, then one channel used for video and the other for the scanner audio and as it is a digital recording there's no crosstalk between channels. There's usually a way to split the mic cable to only use one channel and the other plugs into the scanner.the latter is stereo only and I want the scanner audio separate, without being mixed.
If you have a scanner that use WiFi or Bluetooth then that can also stream audio and then a mobile phone can use a suitable kind of app that has a recording function that can be set to do constant record of that source to its memory card.
