Regency 106 LED question

My old dependable Regency 106 has one LED that stays dimly lit when turned on, even if the channel is locked out. It is the "regular" brightness as it scans that channel. Scanner works fine, but is a little annoying at night. Is the LED going out, or is this a condition I will have to live with? Thanks
