I have a Regency D300 that seems to be losing sensitivity. Units that I can normally hear throughout their district barely break squelch most of the time, and the main dispatch channel for County Fire is also getting scratchy when it should be rock solid here.

I have tried several antennas and it makes no difference, so I'm thinking it's the unit. There are no new sources of potential intereference etc, Is there any adjustment that can be made or something that needs to be cleaned inside these ? If not, anyone know a good Regency service shop? I really like this scanner and it has been extremely good up until this has happened. I would like to have it checked / tuned up.

Thanks!

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!

The culprit that was interfering with the scanner was a new 3 Way CFL light bulb in the lamp. Forgot that it had been changed in the past few months. Turned off the lamp in the middle of a long dispatch call and the problem went away.
