Regency Digital Flight Scan MODS

Hi,

I'd love to be able to use my old Regency Digital Flight Scan on the new 8.33 kHz channels but it only tunes in 25 kHz steps.

Does anyone know how you might go about modifying the radio to tune in say 5 kHz steps.

Your short answer is a 42 year old scanner is not going to have a hack or do what you want in todays world your best option is to buy a scanner that covers what you want.

I've got one or two modern scanners but for me nothing beats those vintage LED displays! I thought perhaps if it was an IC that was responsible maybe there would be a replacement. I've come across a book on the internet called scanner modifications but maybe I am indeed asking too much of the old girl. I figured it might be quite easy to work on with large transistors and whatnot.......

I think it would be a large feat to make the amount of changes required to achieve your goals. Those were the early days of ic chips.
