Regional Response Talk Groups

What are the regional response talk groups used for? I am getting a lot of activity on 4915 region 5 tac 1. Sounds like some type of law enforcement. I am picking it up on the Cabell county tower.

I don't monitor those talk groups. But WV has regional response teams that were set up after 9/11 to handle large-scale man-made and natural disasters. So those talk groups should be used in relation to that. And I would imagine there are exercises using those communication channels from time to time.

They were on Reg 6 on Flat Top last night for a 6 year child search. They will use it during Boycott, Bridge Day, and PGA are some of the use of it.

They have a web site where they described their agency and how they spent the Federal funding. After they spent a lions share of the money the agency went quiet for awhile. How they will work with FEMA, DHS, The Fusion Center in emergencies could be questioned. But I believe they are there for manmade, environmental emergencies.
