Reloading Database 436HP

I updated the firmware on my 436HP, and then thought I was updating the database, but when it was updated and I turned the scanner on it says there is nothing to scan. I have attempted several times to download the updated data base but with same results....Please help

Seriously, there are multiple things you could not be doing correctly.

Have you built any favorite lists, or just scanning the national database?
If favorites = yes, is even one of them enabled?
Have you enabled location, but not set your location properly?
Service types of what you want to monitor set correctly.
Etc...
Etc...
Etc....

You will find here many people here willing to help you.
Myself included, but you also have to do your basic homework (RTFM).

There were no favorites, just using defaults installed from factory. , the memory card is empty. Nothing on it. But hey thanks for the help anyway.....

In scanner menu, go to Set Scan Selection/Select Lists to Monitor. If Full Database is Off, press E to turn On. Press SYSTEM to exit.
