So Downloaded and run app Set for Com1 click Begin seems to do something but getting NO display or data logging PC detects the scanner drive letter shows in my computer. EZscan works perfect.

Seems like I am missing something simple here but not getting.

WHat operating system?

There are 2 drivers, one for the sd card, which sounds like it is working for you and one for the comport.

try a new usb cable then if windows 10 reinstall the comport driver using the "allow unsigned drivers" process.

No Idea what drivers you speak of I have never installed anything other than EZscan program using Windows 10 by the way guess this is why it is still Demo ware..

That is not why it is called a demo....Without the comport driver you cannot install any firmware updates to the scanner. The driver and instructs can be found on whistlers website.

Did you verify that the scanner is actually using COM1? It may be on a different COM port...

Make sure to install the drivers

Go to the Control Panel, Device Manager (or type "device manager" in the search box by the start button. In there, Look for "Ports (COM & LPT). Expand that section and you should see "Whistler TRX-1 Serial Device (COMxx)" where xx is the COM port the TRX is on. Mine is COM16. It is highly unlikely yours is on COM1, that is usually an internal serial port.

If you do not see any "Whistler TRX..." device in the ports section, look if there is anything in "Unknown devices" or with an exclamation point. If it is, you may need to add the drivers. If it is a "Whistler TRX..." not in the ports section, right click on it and choose update drivers and point to where the Whistler driver is. I had to do that for a few of my USB ports I used in testing.

Device driver always shows TRX-1 com port 5.
and once in awhile it works perfectly.
The Program Software always seems to work just fine, I think!
When the screen section is blank there is no logging.

Windows 7 Home,
no exclamations in device driver.
On my last update (Whistler) my Norton anti virus ***** it's pants, but has been doing this before the last update which is current today 10/24.

See if ezscan can set the clock if not Reinstall the driver AND /OR replace the USB cable. The try the clock again if it works.....

install the ezscan and firmware updates that came out on 10/24/2017

Thanks Wackyracer,

This morning the program worked flawlessly but will try your suggestion tonight.

I wander if the way I plug into the usb, power the scanner, listen for the computer feedback sound, then wait for the scanner to scan, then start the Remote Control program, then click the ??connect button. That's the procedure I used this morning.

Scanner Control logging???

Hello all! I'm not receiving any files associated to the data logger. I've double-checked my configuration settings, to include the file directory, but no luck. Suggestions? Thank you for your time and have a great day!
