For about a month now, my 436HP when replaying recordings, the first 2 quite often ( but not always ) repeat twice when scrolling. At first I thought is was they were recorded twice but when I started to pay attention. Push replay, 1 plays, I turn the knob, 2 plays, turn the knob 1 plays again, turn the knob 2 plays again, turn the knob and 3 plays, normal from there and it shows the appropriate recording number. Always turning the same direction a full click. Seems to be only the first 2.
Adjusting volume always seems to be ok, moving from the current active channel to the next seems ok, just the replay
Not a big problem, but more curious is this the start of something bigger? Thanks

Read the scanner, if you don't have everything up to date in Sentinel, and then format the SD card using SD Formatter or similar program and select the overwrite mode to write to every memory cell in the SD card, and put the files back on the SD card.

If there's a bad memory cell it will be detected and flagged to not be used in that overwrite formatting procedure.

But it do sounds like a bad selector switch. What happens if you turn the other direction, to start listening to the latest recording and backing in reverse order?

Thanks for the tips!
I tried a few times turning the switch the other direction and all seemed good. But It is fairly random when does happen so I'll keep trying.
For the price of a memory card I'll likely pick one up the next time I am in the city.

Well I think you were right about the switch.
I didn't think it was because when it happened, only the first 2 replays that repeated when it happened, never later in the sequence while replaying even when there was 32.

The only thing I have done since your advice was to try the switch going the opposite way (counter clockwise) several times and there were no duplicate playbacks going counter clockwise, but since that day, going forward :) it has not happened even once since during playback. So guessing going the opposite direction cleaned the switch?
Thank you !!
