I am not sure if this is possible however if it is I feel it would be a valuable addition. I would like to see in addition to what type of player people want to use, a drop down for quality. The reason I say this is my feed serves a dual purpose. I put it up for everyones use, but also I use it as an audio feed for the fire stations to stream the PD, and for the MDT's for both services to be able to monitor each other (using this as a monitor saves the town 4k per station and 4k per vehicle as we run APCO25 voice on a Motorola XTL5000 mobile platform). My concern is I would like to stream to your server at a higher quality for station monitoring, however I need to be cogniscent of MDT bandwith. After running a test stream I calculated at 16k the feed will use aprox 5.5-6 gig per month 24/7, alot for a cellular stream. I was obviously able to cut that in half by turning it down to 8k (much easier on the MDT's but the station audio suffers).
This may seem like it is more the exception but there are alot of people using mobile devices to stream audio, but it is also nice to have higher quality when at home.
Please let me know if this is going to be a possibility.
