Hello all,

I'm new to the board and just got my 246 today! How do I get the 246T's preprogramed stuff totally erased? I know with other unidens it's usually function+2+9 or something like that. I'd appreciate your help. Alos is there any software available?

Really?? Works for me. With the radio off, I hold HOLD+2+9.... then power on. Says something to the effect of 'Clearing Memory' on the screen, then boots up as usual but says 'Nothing to scan!'.

Yes it is BUT the way he put it almost looks like he is just saying hold 2-9 while powering up. The way I put it make it a little more clear.

And if all those don't work, use the SYSTEM DELETE function in the radio menu. I think it took me less than a minute to delete all the pre-prog stuff.

Or, use the unregistered version of UASD to write any system to the scanner other than those named Conventional, Motorola, EDACS, and LTR. :!:
