Anyone know of something that'll mute a TV or other audio device when a radio is keyed up nearby?

Thanks!

unless it is something hard connected to the radio there will still likely be a pop from the speakers.

"Try LESS mic gain!"

MicGain may not appreciate that, did you know he's a forum member? (;->) Reminds me of my pirate daze when only two of my air staff had normal sounding names. Among the others were R. F. Burns, Casey (KC) Filter and Jim Nazy... AAARRR!

Aside from the obvious which give us chuckles there is another that works well in noisy environments, a headset with a boom mic but you have to keep gain down to a dull roar and the processor off. Now is that right gewecke or are we back to eating Chuckles candy again?

Hmmm, The Simpsons had two episodes involving ham radio, is it time for another? (;->)

A 2 kilowatt signal will mute the TV, maybe even shut it off. Hell my 100 watts shut my TV off until I put some chokes on the power cables. :)

My cat gizmo can change channels, shut off the tv and keep my recliner warm.
...now if only I can teach him to snag me a beer?
