Gents,

do you use any Ferrite clamps on the DC power cables from your power supply to your Uniden Scanners?

I have the following TekPower Switching Mode PS 30A (Amazon.com: TekPower Analog Display TP30SWI 30 Amp DC 13.8V Switching Power Supply with Noise Offset: Home Audio & Theater

Hi Antoine (@xantegh), I do not use any Ferrite Clamps on the DC power cable to my Uniden scanner because I am not experiencing any RFI problems there. I do have a linear power supply (Astron RS-50M) instead of a switching power supply as you have which may generate RFI. I do have some 2X43-151 Ferrite Clamps with a Permeability of 850 on some audio and RF cables used to block unwanted RFI. 73, Dave K4EET
