Hello,

I am trying to determine the frequencies and LCN of Rheem manufacturing in Fort Smith, AR . I know it's a DMR Cap+ system. I have identified 3 freqs, 451.2750, 452.8750, & 462.4000. There may be more, I don't know. Anybody have this figured out?

I had forgotten all about this tools. I will look at the Discovery thing soon, as well as Digital Frequency search. Thanks.

I've discovered a few cap systems with the SDS100. Def read all the supplied info, but I will add that starting with the FCC license seems to be the biggest help (to me). I just make a new system with the FCC info and let LCN finder run. You'll see in top right of radio when it picks up the system.

The frequencies may not all be in use, you can upload to a computer to see which ones gave you an LCN / CC return. But there shouldn't be any frequencies that are in use NOT on said license.

Capacity Plus is challenging unless its a very busy system. Especially if more than 4 freqs.

Thanks to all who have responded. With your help, I hope to crack this system. Another difficulty I have with it is that I cannot hear it from my home location. I have to go mobile to a high hill nearby. Nevertheless, I will continue to solve the mystery. Thanks all.

Just curious, what did you mean by upload to a computer to see which ones give an LCN/CC return? That sounds interesting.

Also yes look for multiple licensed for the company. There may be some one a different license in use. I know of a few DMR systems that have some freqs on one license, and some from another license mixed on a single system. Where the rest are iether set aside for expansion or as talkarounds, or just idle.

Yes, I am finding that you are correct about mixed licenses. Thanks.

Just curious, what did you mean by upload to a computer to see which ones give an LCN/CC return? That sounds interesting.

I setup two duplicate systems. One programmed as the actual system (in this case CAP+). And one programmed as conventional.

The CAP+ system I put in all the frequencies with empty LCN and CC search. After running LCN finder, and saving LCN's at the prompt, I upload to Sentinel. This will actually put the LCN's where I programmed it empty. Assuming I let it run long enough, and found ALL the LCNs, any frequency with an LCN is active. I confirm this with the duplicated conventional system which I now have reprogrammed based on what I found. This is also where I find the color codes.

This is what works for me in my area. We have very few DMR systems and they are not busy. I use the same method for LTR (still have a few of those). An SDR would obviously be much easier and faster, but this is what I do when I just have my SDS100.
