I wonder if they have any scanners left, can't stop by though. I think that Golden Valley store has been there a long time.

The Golden Valley store has been at its current location for over 20 years. I haven't been in since the last round of closings. The last store I was in didn't even have scanners in stock prior to the closings- last November or December. We're scanners still sold in store prior to the current closings?

Had a chance to stop into the Golden Valley store today. Sale prices are not too good- 20% off most , batteries are 30% and parts are about the only thing at 50%, and no scanners at all- the only radios were Midland Wx and FRS radios. The salesman told me originally 3 stores in MN were going to survive as Radio Shacks: Golden Valley, West St. Paul and Duluth, but now Golden Valley is closing in April and he thought the others were too.

The Radio Shack that was at 2868 S 26th Avenue, Minneapolis, has now closed for good.

The Golden Valley and West Saint Paul Radio Shacks are now the only two remaining open in the metro area for now.

Went by the Crystal store the other night. Radio Shack sign still lit up, empty wall displays except a few cell phone accessories, empty display fixtures, black plastic sheeting blocking off the back half of the store, signs in the window says now open Sprint Store, seems they are doing a conversion while still keeping the store open seemed a bit odd but must be some reason for doing a change in this fashion.
Golden Valley still has store closing signs but no count down signs, does the St. Paul store have the store closing signs up?
