Searched the forum and couldn't find anything about this. Has Ringwood gone digital?

I've been scanning in Ringwood for about 15 years, mostly listening to PD and Fire calls. I have recently realized that I can't hear the police dispatch any more, nor can I hear anything on the fire band except for the pager tones and the original calls from the dispatcher. However, after the original call I can no longer hear the dispatcher communicating with units in the field. I'm pretty sure I have every frequency the town uses programmed into the scanner. One other complication: I also can no longer hear NJSP comms on the trunked frequencies. Is it possible my scanner (7-year-old Pro-93) is failing?

no, ringwood pd is not digital they are on the same frequency as they been on 151.1675 pl 100.0. and you mention not hearing njsp anymore sounds like you need to check your antenna

Thanks for the reply. A faulty antenna (or even scanner) is much better news, considering the price of digital-capable scanners!

This was definitely a radio problem. I tried two different antennas with the same result. RS had the pro-137 on sale this week for $99, so I went ahead and bought one and I'm picking up all the usual transmissions again.

Thanks for the replies.
