Does anyone know what sites the dispatcher on Riverside County Fire - Support 7 and 8 transmit from? They seem to have a couple for Support 8. Some of the Support 8 dispatcher traffic sounds perfect and the other has a echo/reverb/feedback sound to it - probably coming off a different mountain location.

Finally last question does anyone know about Support 5 and 6 if they are also used in the Blythe/east desert area? I seem to recall reading something about that.

Thanks!

I was browsing the internet when I came across a website that gave me some information on your questions. After some research, I was able to possibly find the correct answers.

Support 7 is broadcast from Mount David which I think is from the Beaumont area. Support 8 is broadcast from Thomas Mountain which I think is in the Mountain Center area. There may also be a repeater somewhere in the Hemet area.

Support 5 is broadcast from Box Springs and Black Rock Mountain. I was unable to locate Black Rock mountain so I guess it is possible that support 5 is broadcast somewhere in the desert area but I cannot confirm it.

Support 6 is broadcast from Elsinore Peak and Chuckawalla in the Blythe area. I have heard Perris acknowledge units from the Blythe area on support 6.

Black Rock is about 10 miles west of downtown Blythe, right next to the freeway.

Not sure WHERE the dispatcher is. However I know Support 8 is IFPD's, Idyllwild Fire Protection Departments responding channel. I am an employee of IFPD.
