Would anyone know what frequencies mobile 1,2 etc. would be? I hear either dispatch ask or unit request to be put on mobile 1,2 and maybe I heard 6 today. Sounds like a side channel to get traffic off main channel type of deal.

I'll try to poke around a bit to see. It may also have something to do with their Mobile Data Terminals or CAD software as well.

When a unit signs on with an MDT (laptop) they will ask dispatch to assign that particular MDT to them in the CAD system, so calls will be routed appropriately.
