phil_smith said:Nope, we sure don't.. someone at Tulsa PSC called the other night and asked if we had RMA access and seemed shocked when I said no. They ended up trying to patch RMA 2B to 155.490 for us on their end.

FireMedic712 said:Technically all volunteer departments are 800 capable with a radio given to them by the state. .
phil_smith said:Yeah that's what I'm thinking  I'd like to have a mobile/base unit here in our Comm center; it'd come in really handy when we work with TCSO.
Secret_Squirrel said:I don't think so. I could give you a VERY long list of departments with no 800 capabilites. So which state agency is passing these radios out again?
AsstChief said:Keystone Fire received a portable from Tulsa Area Emergency Mgm't several years ago. Every volunteer fire department in Tulsa County was supposed to receive one. When EMSA received their grant to upgrade it included radios for agencies that responded as first responders with EMSA and surrounding EMS agencies that might be called in for mutual aid. Keystone and Mannford received a radio from EMSA at that time. I would have thought that Skiatook would have received a radio from EMSA due to the location and you provide ALS service. You can contact James Mullins with EMSA and see if Skiatook could get a radio like Mannford did and have it installed in the dispatch center. EMSA will have Total Radio come out and install everything for you so there will be no cost to your agency.
