Travelling thru Rockdale County today, I was unable to lock on to the control channel using the frequencies found here on RR. Once I returned to the office and did a quick check of the FCC database, I discovered the following:

Frequencies on FCC but not on RR: 852.4125, 852.7375, 853.4375, 853.7625
Frequencies on RR but not on FCC: 866.9875

It appears that Rockdale has now re-banded their TRS but I can't tell you now which frequency (ies) are control channels. I live in Cobb County and can't routinely pick up Rockdale. Can someone who lives or works on the east side of Atlanta monitor them and give us an update?

You can pick up Dalton from your house, and you can't get Rockdale? Come on, Mike, just admit it, you got the wrong channels programmed in! :D Only kidding? We need to do lunch!

Yes, that's what I had but neither channel was coming in and working. But seeing all those new frequencies which must be their rebanding freqs, likely means that they may have a new control channel(s)

That's what happened when Forsyth rebanded. They switched the CC's around too. Thanks to Mike for Pro96com:) , I was able to get the new ones. I knew from an aquaintance in Forsyth that they were going to change freqs. Glad I had them in the 96 and then in the 106.

PS. Rockdale's pre-rebanding couldn't be heard even in N Gwinnett. I tried their new ones with the same result. I know a couple of hams in the Conyers area that have a hard time hearing their own county!

Thanks, Larry. You know what they say about curiosity - I may have to drive out there on day soon and just verify everything.

Try 857.5625. The FCC ULS search shows WNPP414 for Rockdale and I do hear (just barely) data on that frequency from my location in Walton County. Below are all 9 frequencies for this call sign:

852.4125
852.7375
853.4375
853.7625
854.1625
855.5375
856.1125*
856.5375
857.5625*

After midnight the *CC switched to 856.1125. It didn't show a site ID for the CC on my 396 but I did hear SO and Jail traffic (groups 16, 48, 336) on the 4 WPKP801 frequencies (866.4875, 867.650, 866.9125 and 868.575.) The signal is really weak here as I have to have my scanner in just the right spot to lock onto the CC (no outside antenna.)

Travelled through Rockdale today and I was FINALLY able to monitor the TRS. This morning, the control channel - as noted in the posts above - was 857.5625.
