Hi everyone, anyone from the Roscommon Michigan area that can help, have a RadioShack Pro-2096 Digital Trunking Scanner, isn't receiving any Analog frequency's, only Fm Digital 800MHZ for my area.

Is there any Railroad, D.N.R, State police, Fire. EMS that are in used for Roscommon, St.Helan, Higgins, Houghton Lake, Grayling and Mio michigan, also are there any Talk Group's codes and frequency's for my local location.

Pretty much everyone is on MPSCS for almost everything around here. It even looks like the roscommon co road commission is now on MPSCS.
Lake State Railway Company is on some mixture of analog and DMR. If you search for MI railroads you can find them in the database.
You can look at the MPSCS database here and look for Roscommon, Crawford and Oscoda counties and see what TG's to program in your scanner.

Crawford Co Road Commission has VHF freq's but I have not heard them on them over the last year, and the Crawford Co minibus has low-band freq's but I have never heard them on them either. Minibus must be using some cell based system as they know where the busses are and can talk with the drivers.

If you are using ARC96 software, please attach your programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

If you are not familiar with this website, click on the Database text on the bar next to your username. Then:
-Click on "Browse All Data"
-On the U.S. map move your cursor to Michigan. It will highlight, then click on it.
-Move your cursor to Roscommon Co. It will highlight, then click on it.
If you scroll down it will show all of the analog frequencies.
On the same page you can click on the blue text "Michigan Public Safety Communications System". This will take you to the digital system for Michigan.
-Scroll down to site 4(4)-18. This is the St. Helen site and the control frequencies are shown to the right to program in your scanner. The control channels are in red text.
This is a large database so you have to scroll down farther to find Roscommon County. The counties are in alphabetical after the statewide talkgroups. Or hit Ctrl-F and type in Roscommon and hit the down arrow key until you get to it.
These are all of the talkgroup numbers for Roscommon County to program in your scanner for police, fire, EMS, etc.

Good Luck,
Jim

Have a RadioShack Pro-2096 Digital Trunking Scanner, wanted DCS, EDACS and Rail Channels program for my local area, I've only have two talkgruops St.Helan and Grayling states.

DONT HAVE, Roscommon, Higgins, Houghton Lake, Westbrach, and Mio talkgruops.

PS. Does the Rail yard in Grayling used Private Talkgruop's, not Receiving nothing from that location

Ive heard the LSRC grayling yard crew on analog on one of their listed frequencies.
Had a few hits on road commission on their VHF frequency that is in the database during the snowstorm.
