Roseville newbie

Hi All,

I've been listening online this weekend and I'm thinking about buying a scanner to get more Roseville specific.

Things sure have changed since I last had a scanner about 20 years ago. Digital, trunking, ARMER. Not sure exactly what I need to get.

I would just like to listen to Roseville area happenings (police, fire, etc.. ) in the eves and weekends. Do I need digital for this? I don't care to plunk down 500 for a scanner, so would something like a radio shack Pro-107 work for what i want? Or a Pro-164 or a Uniden® Bearcat BC72XLT?

Yes, Roseville is a subscriber on the ARMER system. You will need a digital, trunked scanner if you want to monitor the system properly.
