I can see that Cleveland County has been updated, but how are we able to see what has changed unless we have the old page saved?

Just curious.....

Once you are in the county of your choice, click on the time next to "Last Updated" and you will get a thumbnail on what has been changed...

And, for the next correction ...

County S-O ... 154.950 ... tone is DPL 131
County Hospital Channel ... 155.340 ... tone is DPL 132 for both Cleveland Reg and Kings Mtn Hosp

I also have to wonder whether Waco Fire's 155.625 uses a tone of 167.9, since that frequency and tone are used by Avery Co Sheriffs. Avery Co S-O puts a decent signal into parts of Cleveland Co.

I'll have to listen to them when I travel through. I go to Shelby about twice a month, so I drive right through Waco. Heck, I could just ask them to key up a radio when I see someone there :D I'm also working on the Cleveland County Law Enforcement Ch numbers & tones.

154.950 is the input to 155.685 ... the main S-O dispatch channel.

The primary tone on the repeater input used to be 167.9 Hz., but DPL 131 was put into use before the beginning of 2003. I CANNOT say that there might not be more than one tone on the repeater.

Rincon, Ga Police (Effingham County - down near Savannah) does use 155.685 / 167.9, which may have played a part in Cleveland County's decision to go to DPL.

Interestingly, Effingham Co Sheriffs use 155.625 / 167.9. I presume Avery Co hears them occasionally.

I have a tentative tone for Waco Fire - DPL 243 - but have never been able to confirm it.

In 2004 Waco Fire was using 155.625 / cs in the Shelby Christmas parade, I did not have a chance to listed to them this year in the parade. I'm to far from Waco to hear them on simplex, they may have added a tone?

SO Channels?

I'm glad to see this thread because I will be moving to Cleveland County in the spring. In reference to the SO channels, I only hear traffic on the main channel 155.685 although two others are listed, 154.785 and 154.875. Can anyone confirm if they even use these? Also does anyone know the channel designations? They do refer to the main dispatch freq as being channel 2. I see they have 800 capability so I assume they can access the Shelby TRS? I appreciate any info that anyone can give.

Thanks,

Jon

I've never heard them on Shelby's 800 system. If they have 800 antennas, It could be for MDTs.

154.875/167.9 it's there Mutual aid channel and they use it a lot to talk with Shelby, Kings Mtn, Rutherford Co., and Polk Co. When the main SO channel is closed they go to mutual aid.

154.785 is rarely used, I hear them use it at football games and when they work the fair.

Cleveland Co. SO does not use the Shelby system at all, they are slowly working on there on system and have just started a tower off Hwy 74. A few SO units do have MDT's mostly there traffic team.

Thanks Dustin for the information. Do you happen to know their channel designations? As I said earlier, I hear them refer to the main dispatch as channel 2 but have never heard them mention any other channel numbers. You said they are working on their own 800 system, is this part of the Viper project or their own seperate system?

Thanks,

Jon

It will be a subsystem of the statewide network (VIPER).

PBoy has been following the Viper system build-out, so I would defer to him.

The locations of the Viper sites in Cleveland Co correspond with the sites where both Shelby and Cleveland Co want to build their trunked sites.

But, the frequencies do not correspond, at this time. The Viper sites have their own individual frequencies, the county is licensed for its system frequencies, and Shelby has its own frequencies.

My understanding is that 154.875 / 167.9 is Cleveland Co channel 4. Cleveland Co also uses the NLEEF channel - 155.475, with a tone of 167.9 - as a tac channel. It's their channel 3, according to my logs.

Hey Jeff, your right as always ;)

155.685 is CH 1 Simplex and 2 is the repeater
154.875 is CH 4 Mutual Aid
156.210 is CH 6 Civil, but have not heard them use it lately? This use to be Shelby main Disp before they went to 800Mhz. You will only here it used in the day time, they are not allowed to BS on this CH.

It seems the DB got "updated" again. It also seems the info on the forums is always different from what's getting submitted

I just updated the database based on what was submitted through the submission engine of the site.

If there is a correction to be made, please make it through the submission engine.

Thanks

If there are any holes to be filled in, I'll be in Cleveland County a few times in the next few months as well.
