One other thing I should have mentioned previously ... it might be of interest to those who monitor Cleveland Co Fire.

Occasionally, their fire dispatch repeater will rebroadcast another fire / medic agency's repeater. Dustin and I have talked about this in the past.

The agency is Flagler County fire / rescue, which is along the east Florida coast, just north of Daytona Beach. This is not their dispatch channel, but simply a secondary channel for additional information, like time and numbers, address location, etc. Dispatch I-Ds as "central." I-95 runs directly through Flagler County, and comms related to events on the interstate are common.

Cleveland Co Fire - 158.760 / 167.9 R out ... 153.755 / 167.9 in
Flagler Co Fire / Rescue - 153.755 / 167.9 R out ... 151.175 / 167.9 in

Little bit of info........

156.105 PL 167.9 Rescue Channel. It seems most of the traffic is simlucast from the EMS Dispatch freq, as the rescue sqrads operate on the EMS repeater.

154.950 DPL 131 Input to 155.685 Sherrifs repeater. I confirmed the tone this afternoon.

The Ch layout of an EMS radio is as follows.......

Ch 1 EMS Dispatch (155.745)
Ch 2 Vol. Rescue (156.105)
Ch 3 State Rescue (155.280)
Ch 4 Hospital (155.340)

156.105 Is "Cleveland Co. Vol." used by both EMS and FD and often repeats both dispatch's but can be disabled if needed, it is a simplex only CH. This channel is used a lot so not to tie up the main dispatch channels. Once in a while you will hear EMS say go to state or rescue that is 155.280/167.9.

Thanks for the additional info. I only monitor Cleveland County a few times a month, and I try to find what I can. I usually have my 2053, 97, and Icom T2H running to search for & confirm new stuff.

Are all Initial Dispatches or EMS and/or Rescue simulacast on 156.105? It might be good if someone wanted to hear the calls without monitoring the repeater traffic all day.

I would say 99% of EMS and FD calls are simulacast on 156.105 "Vol." they only stop doing so if Comm. center get's real busy with a dept. working a call off of the Vol. CH. This Ch gets more traffic than most people know, you have to be close to hear the mobiles and HT's since it's simplex. Cleveland County has both paid full time paid EMS personal, and Vol. Rescue squads both dispatched off the same Channels," Disp. & Vol."

I have a close friend that works full time, so that gave me an interest in the county. The EMS repeater is hot, wish Gaston and Lincoln was as good :)

Cleveland Co. has good coverage, I hear all there main dispatch channels "FD, EMS, & SO" clearly even in Charlotte with a HT. Did Gaston Co. ever get there EMS CH set up as a repeater or it still simplex? I know a while back they got a input frequency to do so?

It's a repeater, Does not sound that strong in many parts of Gaston County. I have to use my ham gear to hear it the best. I think it's been discussed that it was now narrowband.
