RS Pro 95 to Pro 106 Transfer

Hi all,
I have been dormant from scanning for many years. I decieded to resurrect my old Pro 95 and have now fully populated the pro95 using Win95 software. I have also put all the freqs,tags on an excel spread sheet similar to all the banks and chnls shown in the win95 software. After reading and trying to get caught up on all the updates, I bought a digital pro 106, whcih should arrive next week. The 95 has all the updated frequencies, trunks andIDs (no digital in the city that I know of) set up. Would I be able to transfer this data either from the spreadsheet or Win95 to the new scanner by using one the latest scanner software (win500, ARC500 etc)? I do understand I can download from RR but I would like to stick with the freq., order and bank setup I now have.

Starsoft (http://www.starrsoft.com/), the makers of your Win95 scanner software, has a conversion program that should convert your Win-95 file(s) to the Win-96 format, which Win-500 (the software for your new Pro-106 scanner) should import. This is probably the easiest way to do what you're looking to accomplish. The conversion program is free and you'll probably want Win-500 anyway to support your new scanner so you probably can do so at minimal cost (Win-500 isn't free, but as I said, you'll probably get it anyway).

Thanks for the information I guess I can go ahead and pick up win500 trial and proceed to transfer before the scanner arrives and then transfer once it arrives.
