ProScan: RSOIP

Trying to figure things out. The ProScan manual says: RSOIP Featured - One port for both the data and audio.
But everyone says you have to run a serial cable and an audio cable to the scanners.
So is there a way to run just a serial cable and still hear the audio on the remote computer?

I think port in this context means tcp/udp port, not usb. What scanner(s) do you have ?

Okay that makes sense. So I need a data and audio cable to each scanner.
I have a BC785D and a BCD996P2 now and a BCT15X on the way.
I was hoping to use a serial to ethernet hub with them, but that wont work now.
