RTS usb 65 cable

Okay this is a long shot but has anyone used the RTS 65 usb cable for the Unden scanner. I have it for my Yeasu FT 847 and it's a null usb.

You forgot to tell us which Uniden scanner you're asking about. If it has a rear serial port, most likely would work except for firmware updates. Does it have the same ends as shown here?

With the correct RTS software, the USB-65 cable works to program: Yaesu FT-847

You forgot to tell us which Uniden scanner you're asking about. If it has a rear serial port, most likely would work except for firmware updates.

In particular the Uniden BCD996xt or p2.

No Orange, just black cable. I'm tempting to try but don't want to damage anything.

If there are ever any firmware updates for those scanners, that would have to be done through the front ports on those scanners.
