Anyone know the frequency for Channel 10? It's not anywhere I can find in the DB.

It may or may not be valid now, but it was once reported as the same as channel 2 (154.3700) but with a CTCSS of 100.0, instead of 114.8.

Again, this may no longer be valid, if it ever was to start with.

I have never heard it used.

It may be simplex of ch 9, or even ch 2, or it may be a new frequency altogether. If I happen to catch 833 and/or 837 being dispatched to something on one of my days off, maybe I can go chase it and try to find out. But that may take awhile.

Unless someone has insider information that they can pass on without getting into trouble for doing so.

Have you checked the FCC license website? Are there any new frequencies listed? That may be a clue. We would still need confirmation from someone who actually catches it in use, of course.

I've heard it being assigned lately instead of CH9. I checked the DB but I have been unable to figure out what it may be.

Go pay a visit to your local fire station and bring your scanner with you set to close call. Ask one of the firefighters if they would please do a radio test on the channel you're looking for.

152.9900 is the old PMT West channel. It was a repeater. They also had an East repeater, 153.0050. 150.8300 was their dispatch. I would listen to all 3.

I am still hearing dispatches on 150.830 (PL 110.9) but no en route traffic. I don't think this would be the Channel 10 they have referred to. The couple of calls I have heard dispatched have been sent to Channel 2 for en route traffic.

Sorry, I don't monitor them too often, and still think of 154.3700 as the dispatch channel. I forget that dispatch is on 150.8300 now. I'm guessing that since Rural Metro took over PMT's old dispatch channel, they may have taken over one or both of the old ops channels as well. I'd keep an ear on the other two.

I was listening to Rural-Metro on Saturday evening. I heard E857 I think it was on 152.9900 (CTCSS 110.9 Hz) and it was referred to as channel 10, and then dispatch had them switch to channel 8, and they came up on 155.0050 (also 110.9 Hz). I also heard E833 I think it was later in the evening on 152.9900.

I think it's safe to say that Rural-Metro is using all 3 of PMT's old channels now.

I'm not being picky, John. I'm trying to get familiar with R-M's frequencies (new guy in town). In an earlier reply to this thread you mentioned one of the three freqs as 153.005. Now you're saying 155.005. Can you clarify that for me?

Thanks.
