Some time ago I use to pick up some Russian Low Earth Orbiting Satellites fairly easy in the 149 MHz Band several times of day. I think they are Russian Cosmos satellites ??

The frequencies I use to pick them up on were.......

149.940 MHz
149.970 MHz

Lately I haven't heard any activity from them. I was wondering if anything like that was still in orbit, or perhaps maybe they changed frequencies.

Have you tried the website Heavens Above at Heavens-Above which has a Satellite section where one can find out a lot of information.

These were Russian navigation Cosmos satellites. Thre were two systems at one time. One used 149.94 with a carrier on 399.84, 149.97 with a carrier on 399.92, and 150.03 with a carrier on 400.08and the other only used frequency: 150.00 with a carrier on 400.00. With the Russian GLONASS satellites, that was initially dropped to only one system with the last launch for that being in 2010. Google "Parus satellite".
