If you go thru both cities and counties old systems and search each frequency manually you if see that the new system is going every day by adding frequencies from the old system to the new one. Here's what I got...

Site01: 866.25000, 866.40000, 866.71250, 866.77500, 867.05000, 867.81250, 867.90000, 868.11250, 868.18750, 868.26250, 868.57500, 868.63750, 868.66250, 868.82500, 868.90000.

Site02: 866.11250, 866.13750, 866.35000, 866.37500, 866.43750, 866.63750, 866.75000, 866.81250, 866.83750, 867.10000, 867.16250, 867.35000, 867.41250, 867.68750, 867.93750, 868.28750, 868.43750, 868.53750, 868.73750, 868.93750, 868.96250.

And if you add UC Davis in you'll pick up Identifiers on city's system that are patched...

UC Davis runs it's own system, that AFAIK has zero to do with the 4328, 4428, or C116 systems. If there's something else going on here, please let everyone know! UCD PD has NO talkgroups reserved for them on the new system, BTW. Also, the 4428 system is no longer online...

Found some more talkgroups that aren't listed in the database:

60688 SPD RW 2
49200 ("Flex"), 49264, and 49296 seem to be Park Rangers tac channels.

I was wondering how long that would remain a secret. It's not "flex"...it's "plex" as in "simplex". And no, it's not actually a simplex talkgroup (obviously)...it's used as a BS channel (against specific instructions by supervisors not to). I can't talk too bad in case one of my coworkers reads this, but I will say that I absolutely do not condone the use of that talkgroup, nor approve of what is said on it.

49200 is Park Maintenance (PR MNT)
49328 is Ranger Tac 3 (PRTAC3)
49296 is Ranger Tac 2 (PRTAC2)
49264 is Ranger Tac 1 (PRTAC1)

What is SPD's "RW2"?

Do the Park Rangers also use 49424?

Anyone know the Alpha tags for: 47760, 51888?

I found the garbage collectors on 49936 (Big thrill).

Records and Warrants 2 (dunno if it's used)

49424 is NOT used by Rangers. It's assigned to a completely different department.
47760 is assigned to a probation facility.
51888 = "COMM 3"

"It's odd I know but it's there. If you program in the City's system and add UCD TRS w/out the control channel you will get SAC TRS ID's on the UCD frequencies"

I found this out by programming in order all the frequencies in both 4428 and 4328 systems w/ the frequencies from UCD TRS (sys:390F), and do not program in (390F) control channel...

I was under the impression that you meant that UCD TGID would show up.

What type of scanner are you using ?

4328h is official offline.
I must have just missed it. I was listening between 1500 and 1600hrs and it was still busy with Probations and I think an occasional FD conversation. Lots of affiliation rejections meant for C116, like tons. Not a good thing.

With C116 Site 2 there were eight channels OOS. C116S02 comes in nicely in Tracy.

Radio shop is letting me work on the radio templates for the portables and mobiles. I want Regional Transit PD programmed in. They have 2 talkgroups, both of which look like they could be the right one.

57680 is the equivalent of their 4328 channel
57744 is a new one issued to them

Which is the right channel?

Second question:

Does Sac PD Channel 5 ever get used as a dispatch channel, or is it solely a car-2-car? I want to put it as a "mode" button only if it's a dispatch channel, which my buddy swears it is. I don't think it is (I think just SP 1, 3, 4, and 6 are dispatches).

Any help = appreciated.

I've only heard it used as a dispatch channel if another one of the primary dispatch channels was dedicated to an incident.

has the new system incorporated the frequencies left from the old one? if so, it should at least tone down the amount of crap they're getting for the new system

I know Site 002 has a bunch of voice channels back. I would imagine Site 001 would also have theirs back also, although I haven't confirmed how many are actually back on site 1.

SP 5 does get used at times. SPD has gone 5 channel ops with SP 5 serving the Pocket area. It wouldn't surprise me if SPD went 5 channel more often in the next year or two, especially with the downtown development.

SPD has also used channel 5 for special events and tactical incidents.
