Salina dispatch center is now dispathing Salina Fire Department using "Unit Recommendation". Took over a year to complete all run cards so CAD dispatch by unit would work. Interesting listening as dispatchers learn the new system.

Talked to a SPD dispatcher today. Official change took place last Monday morning? They had spent a week using the new fixture sending e-mails to their supervisor, where they found problems. Seems some calls units assigned, did not respond. Some calls units not assigned responded.

Fire/EMS units have the ability off their mobiles to put themselfs "Enroute, On Scene, Available on Scene and In Station.
