Saline County Recently

I monitor mostly Saline County and I put the site hold on the Benton tower. I have done this for close to two years. Over the last several days, I feel like i am not getting anything at all. I have updated the database, i have signal to the tower on my SDS100, and havent made any changes recently. Does anyone live in the area that may be experiencing this as well? I have also connected to the Shinall Mountain tower and i get a lot of chatter from Pulaski and other counties, including Saline. But, nothing but a rare one throughout the day if i am connected to the Benton Tower that is just a few miles from me. Thanks for any help if you know what is going on.

Do you see the control channel frequency displayed when receiving the Benton site? Do you have the alternate control channel frequency programmed? If using site NAC, set the scanner to ignore it if you do not see the control channel frequency.

Thank you for the reply. And yes, the frequency that is displayed is the control. In the site settings for Benton, I do also see the alternate control programmed. What’s crazy is nothing was changed and it just kind of stopped. If I hold on the Shinnall Mountain site in Little Rock and then hold on the saline county department I can hear them just fine. But if I’m on the Benton site, I may hear 2 or 3 small pieces in a whole day.

The only other thing I can think of is that the Saline County department is avoided or the quick key is off.. If avoided or quick key is off, you will hear a department on hold, but not while scanning.

Well. Today it all started working. Maybe the site was down? No idea. Honestly thank you for helping me.

I completely agree. Again. Thanks for the help. I’m almost 2 years in and still feel like I don’t use my scanner right haha.
