Salisbury (Rowan County) - Suspicious Package at USPS on East Innes St

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad, Rowan County Sheriff K9's, Salisbury PD K9's, Salisbury Fire Dept, Rowan EMS, USPS Postal Inspectors, along with others are at the US Post Office on E. Innes Street for a suspicious package. They've requested air space cleared out and are preparing to approach the package. Package has been alerted on by K-9's....

UPDATE

Package has been disabled, all personnel safe. Opening some streets back up, however there will be an ongoing investigation by USPS Postal Inspectors along with Salisbury PD. 2 side streets remain closed during investigation due to what was discovered in the package.

The good thing is everyone gets to go home !!
