With changes in the process to Salt Lake's AC33 and Airport Authority's 3521 systems, I am wondering if anyone (those of you running trunker programs) has paid any attention to SL Co Public Works 420f. The SLSO has backup channels available on this system and it is only reasonable to A$$ U ME that Unified Fire would have backup channels there also, although none are listed...yet.

The Db indicates four control channels on this system:

856.7125
857.7125
858.7125
859.7125

Just wondering if we have been ignoring an important system.

I'll trunk it for a few days and see what happens.
I was just wondering if you have had the chance to sniff out this TRS yet and what the results were.

I've been running Trunker this week, and there are some changes. The CC's are correct, but there appears to have been a reshuffling of the Talk Groups. Several in the RR Db have not been used, and otheres are ID'ed wrong, as well as the "new" ones not on the list. I was thinking this morning how to post all the changes. What I'd like to do, is just have one "Thread Dump" of the info I have, and let the rest of you agree or suggest changes before posting on the DataBase.
The freqs look okay. I have 5 changes, and 6 additions. There are more TG's being used, but I haven't figured out who they are yet.
It is aslow process. And I'm sure that there will be more to add once the snow starts falling.

Why don't you go ahead, do your "Thread Dump" and let the rest of us take a look at what you have. Then we can go from there as you suggest.

Not like we don't have enough to do, but I just knew that this TRS was way out of date in the RR Db.

Those "might" be temporary ID's they may drop them after things are settled down. Hopefully they don't confuse us, but its probably to late for that. Hehe besides what do I know I cant hear from here anyway. :p

TG 2576 reads Delta Center Security. Hits=363
Users comments about visitor from another Rec Center, Front Desk, and two members in the pool downstairs.

TG 3504 reads ? Hits=251
Users talk about a stage, dressing rooms, pracice rooms, a studio, and problems in North Hallway.

Additions

TG 1040 Garbage Collection Hits=1530

TG 1232 Refuse Xfer Station Hits=969

TG 3280 Unk Cnty Xportation Service Ch-A Hits=31

TG 3312 Unk Cnty Xportation Service CH-B Hits=103

TG 528 and TG 3586 are the same users. Unk at this time.

The following RR Db TG's have had zero hits:
240, 1584, 2192, 2352, 2384, 2416, 2448, 2608, 2640, and 2960. It is to early to say they are inactive, but it does look that way.

The following TG's have multiple hits, but I have not heard enough to figure out who they are:
(Talk Group, Hits)
528, 34
816, 659 (lots of names but nothing meaningful)
1072, 19
3472, 95
3504, 251
3568, 99
4016, 189
4080, 43
4112, 419

I have been listening as I can at work this past week, and this is what I've gotten so far.
Good Luck

Things chage quick.
TG 3312 has been ID'ed as Div Aging Svc Ch-C, not B as I originally guessed.

Wow, you have been a busy boy, Gary. Have you submitted any of these TGs to the Db?

I am also curious about the CCs. They list four and you stated that they were correct. Are all four CCs active at the same time or do they rotate like those at the airport? Do you have a list of which other frequencies are associated with each CC if they are all operating at the same time? The reason I ask is that I can program only one system with one control channel per bank on my scanner. I would like to try helping you identify the unknown TGs but I need to know how it is set up. My scanners seem to work better if I program all the associated frequencies rather than operating in CC only mode.

Last I knew, Delta Center/Energy Solutions Arena security was on 461.9125 with a PL of 141.3. My Xplorer also detected some activity on 461.1625, with a DPL of 654. These are covered under their licence WPLF687, which has six repeater pairs. Their licence WPSY928 is still valid, but I believe they have abandoned using these four simplex frequencies. When they were in use, a DPL of 606 was used.

A handy link, if you don't already have it:

From what I/ve seen the past week, they rotate CC each morning between 01:00 and 02:00. What was yesterdays CC, is one of todays voice channels. You should be able to enter all the freqs (the ones in the Db are correct), and the radio will find the CC and go from there. I use both Radio Shack and Uniden scanners, and once programed with all the freqs, they all have the ability to follow changing CC's.

Oh, good. They operate just like the airport's TRS. I have the airport programmed into one of my scanners. When I was first getting into scanning trunked systems I didn't fully understand the instructions for my scanners and I ended up chasing the CC on the airport TRS every day. Very frustrating...but I eventually got it right, so now my scanner follows automatically. Much easier on the nerves.
