According to the Database they are in Pro-Voice Digital. But with the use of ESK, you woudn't be able to track them in analog anyhow.

SAFD is currently digital, but there have been some discussions on the forum about them going Analog because of some issues with their digital radios on firegrounds.
You can monitor the analog talk groups when ESK is turned off on the system, and right now that only consists of BCSO's open channels, Public Works, and a few others......

I don't know but they were talking about ESK being off, then back on, then I don't know if it ever went back off again.

It is currently off again as of 6/13/2004.

Rumor has it that ESK is being used to keep radios from Corpus Christi from affiliating with the site. This is a real problem when the Corpus Site and the San Antonio Simulcast Layers share the same control channel, and tropo-skip is occuring.

SA Fire is totally ProVoice digital right now, however rumors abound about them going analog, or at least fireground operations going analog - who knows?
