I'm trying to program this Type I system:
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=1531

The problem is that the fleet map as shown in the configuration isn't accepted by my programming software. I'm using Uniden's UASD for the 246T.

The fleetmap is:
B0: S4
B1: S4
B2: S4
B3: S4
B5: S4
B6: S12
B7: S12

I create a Motorola 800MHz Type I system. I go into 'Trunk Options' / 'Select FleetMap' and then select 'Custom FleetMap'. The program let's me select the Block Size code for Block's 0 through 6. Then it presents dashes '-----' and greys out the ability to set Block 7.

My 'guess' is that the configuration above is wrong, since I think the program is telling me that I have run out of bits in the fleetmap.

Can anyone confirm?

S12 uses 2 blocks (6 and 7) so the radio is probably doing what it should.
You don't need to enter S12 into both blocks. Try it out. I don't think there
is a problem, unless the original fleetmap is in error.

How can you leave out the second S12

As a newbie, I decided to enter this Type 1 system in a RSPro95 with Win95 as an experiment. I have the opposite problem. When I program it as listed it shows it as a E1P3 preset so I can't remove the S12 in block seven. It automatically sets in two S12's in block six and seven. No way to remove the second S12 to try your experiment. If you change the second S12, it then has to be set to Type II, or S1 through S14 which changes everything around.

I did not touch the Motorolla UHF-Lo Settings in the program the are listed as
Base Freq 406.0000, offset 380 and step size 25.0 and left the Motorolla 800 MHz set to Normal not Offset

Unable to hear anything, but it is certainly due to distance. Perhaps someone close to that place cab verify the site info in time for the next Tookie bookie wookie vigil.
