Sheriff Hilton: Sandusky County dispatch system 'is on life support'

Sandusky County Sheriff Chris Hilton is asking county commissioners for their help in getting a new computer assisted dispatch system in place.

All Motorola, so at least they got their money's worth over the lifespan of their existing system. But not budgeting for replacement, and having IT "beg" for parts, sounds about right. Long range budget and maintenance plan is needed for sure. There should also be some "radio" people in that IT department as well, to keep some sense of sanity in the system administration too.
