Doing a search on the Federal VHF band recently, it appears that Sandy Hook is back on the 169.7500 freq with a new NAC of 500, along with using the 173.8250 freq. Database has been updated, so those who want to monitor will have another freq to listen to.

I think Sandy Hook area is predominately military occupied.

The closest thing to any "military" on Sandy Hook is the Coast Guard station near the northern tip of the island. The majority of the island is managed by the National Park Service, not the military.

I was refering to who actually resides, lives there. It was my understanding the majority is military families. That may have changed since the school shooting incident.

Are you referring to the Sandy Hook, CT school shooting? Also I know the Fort Hancock area is currently leasing out properties but I couldn't tell you how populated they are yet.
