I just purchased a Sangean 803a and I was wondering if anyone has the pinout for the 5 pin recorder jack? I have the DX 440 manual and schematic, but the 440 doesn’t have the recorder jack.

Yes. It is not on my DX 440, nor is it listed on my 440 schematic. It is a standard 5 pin DIN socket. That is the main reason I bought a 803a. I already have two DX 440 radios, one I purchased new from Radio Shack, and one I purchased for parts, that only needs a new encoder. It works fine with the front buttons.

The DIN 5 pin audio connector is standardized. While fairly uncommon now, they were popular back in the late 70's/80's on AV equipment:

Thank you. I believe it is the same as the DIN cables used in pro sound. I believe I have one that terminates in two RCA phono plugs I will check the pin out on it and confirm if it will work
