If you go to the SAPD policies and procedures procedure 403 communications has a sub title called
Radio channel assignments you will find lots of listings some in the database some not. Should we add them? Let me know what you think.

I think so, that is good information and we can absolutely update the AARRS page as such. Submit it and I’ll work it for you.

Below is their new template. They don't use the 1- A, 1-B, etc.....anymore, and that has not been updated. They have Alpha and Bravo channels—for example, North-A Patrol and North-B Open.

Attached is their new official lineup since they switched to the AARRS. They are 99 percent encrypted, but this can fill holes in the database. They have pretty much dumped all the E-1 channels, 5-A channels, etc......

What do you mean 99% encrypted I listen all day I hear nothing from them except occasional slip ups. Yeah we could fill holes but it would be kind of hard too. Also what is ROP and fusion I’ve seen traffic on those channels before.

Those dispatch slip ups are the 1 percent I'm counting. ROP was recently disbanded. It used to be Repeat Offenders Program. Basically PDs fugitive unit. Now the street crimes units use them as well as the SCU channels. Fusion is the combined intelligence center. They have a channel assigned but it's rarely used. Multiple agencies local, state, and federal. Even Fire,EMS, and CPS are there.

They are kinda folded into Special Operations/Covert response now. Mcmanus restructured awhile back. They do Fugitive apprehension, Gangs, focused patrols in high crime areas. A lot of the SWAT guys will work with SCU on directed patrols on down time.

I attached the new command structure.

Thanks that’s really helpful also have you seen this new BCSO air k9 channel? Now since when did BCSO have an air unit? I’ve never heard any traffic here have you?

Everyone got a bunch of new channels. But most agencies stick to the ways that have always worked. Most of those channels are rarely used or just in the radio to be there in case it's needed one day. SO uses Eagle and DPS helos. DPS usually has one radio on DPS SA and one monitoring one of the county channels. Eagle for PD monitors the Traffic channel and switches to whatever channel they are called to go to which includes SO and other agencies channels.

As in eagle do you mean police helicopters? Because I just got done listening to a BCSO surveillance stakeout that lasted 3 hours and at the end when they decided to wrap things up one unit referred to another as eagle.
