Looks like Sarnia Fire has made the transition from DMR to P25E (they have basically joined the same P25 conventional system that Sarnia Police are running). Encrypted traffic has been observed on 143.1150 (there are also a few more entries listed in TAFL), and little to no traffic now on the DMR side of things. Another one bites the dust.

A quick TAFL search (using callsign CGP277) shows...

139.4100
139.9350
140.2800
141.1500
143.1150
143.4300
143.6650
143.9100

I have been monitoring these frequencies for a while now and seems they have been on P25 for better part of a month. Firefighters have the nice big yellow Motorola APX6000XE portables.

Why Sarnia doesn't have their own trunked system for Fire, Police and Public Works, who knows? Covers all of Sarnia to Brights Grove other than Point Edward as they do their own thing for Fire and OPP patrol that area.

Also, Sarnia PD did have their dispatcher in the clear whenever they would transmit, but since Fire has gone P25, they have fixed up that little loophole now, too.

Certainly a bummer.
