Savannah/Chatham County 700 MHz TRS

I see that both the city of Savannah and Chatham County have applied to the FCC, to implement a 700 MHz, Project 25 TRS. How far along is construction on this new system, and when should we see this TRS come online?

i haven't heard anything about it and 700mhz is not active around here yet .i do know that they just upgraded the 800 mhz trs to smartx to make it easer to switch to p25 good find

This is part of the new Southeast Georgia Regional Radio Network (SEGARREN). Looks like it will be a Project 25 simulcast system. I would suspect that other neighboring counties are also planning to join this system in the future.

Have heard rumors about them going 700 for the 9600 baud system but until seeing this had seen nothing concrete. I'm currently in Brunswick, but will be back in Savannah for a few days starting late Friday morning. I plan on programming these up prior to going back and I'll post if I hear anything on the air yet.

Nothing heard on these 700 MHz frequencies yet. I have them programmed in several radios though, so I'll post when I hear anything go live.
