Saving ID's with UniTrunker

Editing ID's with UniTrunker

How do I change ID's and the system label and save them? When I hit save and reload the program, nothing is saved. What am I doing wrong?

Which ver of UT are you using? It seems to me that you cannot change the "system" label in the latest version (public beta #14, 0.1.0.52)

I'm using the newest version - public beta 14. After editing ID's with text I hit save thinking that all the text I've entered will be saved. I exit the program and when I restart UT all that text is gone. Nothing was saved.

What sequence of keystrokes are you using to do this?

Make sure you have Auto Save turned on. Simply hitting save after a label edit won't actually "save" it to file. If Auto Save is off, you then have to manually [Save] from the main menu.

Liverdog, I just changed the Site label and it saved for me?

I have autosave on and the keystrokes I'm doing is I choose Insert--Group--then I select the ID and enter text---Apply--Save. Before I exit the program I choose save again.

When changing something, use the Find menu instead. The Insert menu is for adding new data to the system.

I'll check this out. If the ID is already present - please use [F]ind instead of nsert. The insert method is supposed to check to see if the ID exists so there may be some problem there.

The program saves everything when exiting. The AutoSave will save your data in case of a program crash or power loss.

I went in Windows Explorer to see if any systems of mine were being saved. I opened the system GID files and the ID's are being saved but not the text that I have assigned to them (the TG). Not sure what all this means.

After editing or inserting a new group ID, scroll through the list of groups to verify it is present.

From the main menu, [V]iew -> [G]roups ... use the [PgUp] and [PgDn] keys to scroll through the list in ascending group ID order.

Finally figured out what was happening. A program that I use to clean up temporary files/internet files was deleting the saved files created by UT. Now my ID's are being saved. Thanks for the help guys!
