Hey all fellow Ohioans. Will be looking real soon to buy a Uniden 325P. However, I want to buy over the counter and not on line. Wondering if people could chime in on different stores in Ohio that sell Uniden Products.

So far I have Universal Radio in the Columbus area. Their price is $400.

Thanks.

P.S. I would be coming from Pike County, OH.

Ehh it was bugging me so I looked. It is Hamilton, north of Cinci.

Define "real soon", as the Dayton Hamvention is 2 months away and I'm sure there will be many dealers and deals there.

Depends on how gung-ho you are about traveling our fair state.

Universal Radio in Columbus is the closest and easiest for you to get to.

A nearly equal choice would be US35 to Dayton/Kettering and Hobby Radio Stop, although I would highly recommend arranging that visit in advance; Norm is great to deal with and his cash price on the 325P2 is $371, but his store is pretty small. If you're willing to wait until Hamvention Norm usually has a table there with decent discounts on scanners.

Shoot across SR32 or US50 to the Cincinnati area gets you fairly close to Hamilton (R&L Electronics), but traffic on I275 and I75/SR129 (or US127, if you wanted to take the really "scenic" route) would probably be a nightmare. Plus, a glance at the R&L web page doesn't show them carrying the 325P2, and a lot of "out of stock" on other models.

US23 to Columbus then I71 to Medina and I271 to the northeast suburbs would put you close to Amateur Electronic Supply in Wickliffe, but again, you'll be risking life and limb with the traffic. Same as R&L on stock; a glance at the AES web page doesn't show them carrying the 325P2.

Your best bet is Universal Radio or Hobby Radio Stop.
