Scanner Master Skyband Antenna Review

I bought the Scanner Master skyband discone antenna the other day. I got it because it was half the price of the stainless steel discone. I would recommend this antenna for anyone looking for a good scanner antenna. It is very sturdy and the reception is excellent. I don't know what makes the other discone twice as much but this one is a great antenna at a great price

I am was deciding on the two same antennas from Scanner Master as well. I would like to know the difference in the two so I could know why the one is so much more expensive.

Are the lengths of the elements on both antennas the same? Are the materials the same? Is the construction the same? Is the connector the same?

I'm guessing "no" to at least 2 of the 4.

You talk as though stainless steel is a bad thing? What is your antenna constructed from?
