Thanks in advance for listening to my no doubt idiotic inquiry.
I am a scanning newb, and recently acquired a PRO-96. It came pre-loaded with a ridiculous amount of data for the area which I have been slowly trying to remove & perhaps add.
My primary focus of interest of course wold be CPD & OSHP traffic. Utilizing this this and WIN96 software I think it may already have suffecient data loaded for my purpose but I cannot be certain.
In bank 5 we have "Franklin TRS" which from what I can tell should be the Franklin trunked system with CPD & various other medical/sherrif/ frequencies.
Then I have bank 7 which says "OHIO TRS" from what I can tell from listening, this is the OSHP and"MARCS" system.
I figured that that I am probably out of date since this thing was built and wanted to ensure I hate the latest and greatest data. This is where it becomes a bit confusing for me. I am new to the "control frequencies" and the general idea of how this works.
I started notating what I heard and saw frequency wise and saw a few pop up on either bank that weren't listed on here, but most were.
I tried using the web import feature, and size of the MARCS stuff is amazing, Bank 7 has 49 different frequencies listed, and I hear tons of traffic, and the scanner notes this as "DG" traffic, so I assume this is the MARCS digital part kicking in.
Anyone who is familiar with this scanner and or the area able to help ?
Thanks,
Shawn
