Sorry for the question but i am not real familiar with the digital trunking. I live in findlay and if I was to buy a pro 106 or gre psr 500 would i be able to pick up toledo area departments? I know findlay is encrypted so only other ones around is OSP and Sheriff. Thanks for any help.

If you're in Toledo, yes, you could pick up Toledo area departments on the Lucas County system.

You probably won't hear much Toledo area stuff on MARCS in Findlay. Occasionally you might, but not consistently.

In addition to cops and firemen, you could also pick up ships on the lake, railroads, aircraft, etc. Toledo is a hotbed for all sorts of interesting radio traffic.

You probably won't be able to receive the Toledo/Lucas county DTR system unless you put up a pretty good outside antenna. I live in Delta and I get them using a discone about 40 feet up on my tower. The signal is not full scale but I get good demod on them.

Ohio MARCS is a different system and they have towers all over the state. You shouldn't have any problem picking them up.
